Beazley has been underwriting US risks since the company's formation in 1986.

Since 2004 we have been building a strong local underwriting and claims presence across the US, while continuing to underwrite much US business - particularly relating to large and complex risks - at the Beazley box at Lloyd's in London.

We opened our first US office in Farmington, CT in 2004 to underwrite professional and management liability insurance on a surplus lines basis. Through our A rated admitted carrier, Beazley Insurance Company, Inc., we now underwrite a significant volume of business on an admitted basis as well. We have 12 offices across the country, including six "hub" offices (New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles) where we have multiple underwriting teams.
